The image in the work balances between dreaminess and barely perceptible realism. I wanted to explore the phenomenon of memory: how individual memory intertwines with cultural memory, how memories lingering in dreams or visions create new structures, and so on. The painting has a mysteriousness to it, making you want to look at it and examine it, as if searching for answers to inexhaustible existential questions.
