In the picture „Žemės kvėpavimas“ I conveyed a deep, archaic sense of life, where the sense of landscape turns into a philosophical reflection of being. The horizontally layered composition depicts geological sections of the earth, where the intersections of time, matter, and energy open up.
Thick, textured brushstrokes create a sense as if the earth itself is breathing, pulsing, and moving from within. The color palette—from deep dark tones to fiery ochres, golds, and greens—symbolizes the cycle of life, growth, and decay. The green fragments in the center of the painting become signs of life, reminiscent of a sprout, renewal, and hope.
The landscape here is not a specific image, but rather a cosmic space where nature, man and time merge. The piece speaks of the earth as a living organism with its own rhythm, breathing and consciousness. The philosophical dimension is revealed through a quiet sense of presence. "Breath of the Earth" is a visual meditative story about the fragility of life and at the same time its incredible sustainability, inviting the viewer to a contemplative dialogue with existence itself.
